Texas Children's Hospital employees celebrating

Texas Children’s steps out Tomorrow, Together

On June 3, 2021, Texas Children’s President and CEO Mark A. Wallace announced a bold commitment to Texas Children’s work force. As part of the Tomorrow, Together initiative and as an expression of his immense gratitude to employees for their resilience and steadfast commitment during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, each part-time, full-time and per-diem team member received a 2% salary increase and an additional week of much-deserved paid time off.

“I’ve been through a multitude of seasons with Texas Children’s employees,” Wallace said. “There have been seasons of growth and prosperity, but also seasons of difficulty and hardships. Through it all, all our employees have continued to lead with compassion and strength. We really are one amazing team.”

Texas Children’s senior leadership team also committed to developing and refining several initiatives to support Texas Children’s team members, including recruiting and retaining the best talent; focusing on employees’ mental and physical health; and enhancing our robust diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

“The people who work here are our greatest strength,” said Linda Aldred, senior vice president of Human Resources. “They are what set Texas Children’s apart and allow us to serve our community in a big way, throughout the pandemic and beyond. The investments the hospital is making represent a bold step in our journey together toward a brighter tomorrow.”
